When Jailson Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Pendotiba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jailson Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. In the 21stth minute of the game Jailson Figueiredo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sophia AJ Clube's Richard Baptista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Alexsandro Alvarenga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pendotiba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexsandro Alvarenga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richard Baptista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. João Carlos Mineiro hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. César Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Netto to make the kick off. Sophia AJ Clube's César Santana got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 55 played minutes, Sophia AJ Clube's Wellington Lira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alex Albuquerque came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sophia AJ Clube reached it. Jailson Figueiredo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Richard Baptista having to make a save. In the 63rd minute, César Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute of the match Thomás Soeiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alex Albuquerque showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 78th minute, Sophia AJ Clube's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jailson Figueiredo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thomás Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Richard Baptista made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Jailson Figueiredo sent off a good shot on target. Caetano Peixoto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, Sophia AJ Clube could leave the field as winners, despite Pendotiba FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
