Spectators: 7259 (Terracing: 5446, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Baltazar Capixaba started the match with the kick off. José Pedro Mangueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltazar Capixaba, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Enrique Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 13 minutes, Horácio da Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paulista FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horácio da Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Paulista FC's goal looked a bit too open when Baltazar Capixaba came free, but José Pedro Mangueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dário Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedro Mangueira having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Kalore was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dário Faria to maneuver through the defense. Dário Faria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Pedro Mangueira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. José Pedro Mangueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazar Capixaba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, Kalore's goalkeeper Luiz Mandrak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enrique Catarinense. The supporters of Paulista FC booed when Kalore was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Bittencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute, Dário Faria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dário Faria struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. José Pedro Mangueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kalore. 43 minutes into the game, Nilson Penha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kalore's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paulista FC the free kick. Nilson Penha hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Horácio da Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Mandrak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Horácio da Costa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dário Faria in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of José Pedro Mangueira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Luiz Mandrak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Catarinense, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. If Dário Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Kalore's Dário Faria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that José Pedro Mangueira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dário Faria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but José Pedro Mangueira made a huge save. Dário Farias short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got José Pedro Mangueira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 76 played minutes Paulista FC got a freekick which was hit by Igor Severo. José Pedro Mangueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazar Capixaba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute Horácio da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Mandrak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Lucas Bittencourt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Pedro Mangueira came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Kalore's Baltazar Capixaba. But to his dismay, Baltazar Capixaba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Enrique Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Luiz Mandrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nilson Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Horácio da Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
