To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 97 minutes into the match, Fenix FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorginho de Queiroz came free, but Serginho Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Fenix FC had won after a very even match.
