Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Novo Baependy's Diego Meira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Luan Ramalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 6 minutes into the game, Claudinei Netto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nelsinho Tavares. Claudinei Netto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Diego Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Pascom's Rony Toledo got a free kick in the 12th minute. After 13 minutes of play, Novo Baependy's Luan Ramalho made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juninho Azevedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Diego Meira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ciro Camargo fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pascom's protests and gave Ciro Camargo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th match minute, Pascom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Camargo to maneuver through the defense. After 20 played minutes, Novo Baependy's Oséas Pinho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Juninho Azevedo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Novo Baependy reached it. The supporters of Novo Baependy booed when Pascom was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rony Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 minutes, Zeca Guerra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Novo Baependy and the Pascom players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Novo Baependy getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Zeca Guerra hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, Novo Baependy's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei Netto came free, but Nelsinho Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudinei Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelsinho Tavares having to interfere. After having played for 40 minutes, Diego Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Novo Baependy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Meira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Luan Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 43rd match minute, Pascom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Gustavo Secco to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the match, Novo Baependy's Oséas Pinho broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Diego Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nilton Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelsinho Tavares having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Diego Meira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
