Jailson Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Carioca, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erivaldo Terra in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cauan de Andrade prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 71 minutes into the match, Meriruma's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Augusto Pontes came free, but Jailson Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Fantini came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cauan de Andrade could save by the left post. A collision led to Irundi getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Carlos Augusto Pontes hit a great ball. With his leg Cauan de Andrade managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Meriruma's Miguel Fantini fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Erivaldo Terra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the game, Carlos Augusto Pontes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Irundi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meriruma the free kick. A collision led to Irundi getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luiz Arósio in the 92nd minute of play forced Meriruma's goalkeeper Jailson Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the game, David Carioca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Jailson Barral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Meriruma's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
