If Ezequiel Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Roberto Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Gerber having to interfere. When Dalmo Bittencourt came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Atlético Blumenauense FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dalmo Bittencourt couldn't finish the play. Cláudio Gerber came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Blumenauense FC's Zé Roberto Vidal. But to his dismay, Zé Roberto Vidal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The supporters of Awakening booed when Atlético Blumenauense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godfredo Cordarrel didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dalmo Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Dalmo Bittencourt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cláudio Gerber was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Zé Roberto Vidal scored 0-4 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cláudio Gerber, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Godfredo Cordarrel kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Cláudio Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezequiel Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Cláudio Gerber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudinei de Lima made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Awakening's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Roberto Vidal came free, but Cláudio Gerber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cláudio Gerber made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Cláudio Gerber made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Dalmo Bittencourt sent off a good shot on target. Gildo Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Gerber having to interfere. Zé Roberto Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Dalmo Bittencourt came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Atlético Blumenauense FC fans jumped to their feet. Cláudio Gerber was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Gildo Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Awakening fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Atlético Blumenauense FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
