In the 8th match minute, Juvenil Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diamantino Branco to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedé Tinoco in the 10th minute of play forced Juvenil Sport Club's goalkeeper Celso de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oswaldo Prado was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Corimbata fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Hoffmann in the 18th minute of play forced Juvenil Sport Club's goalkeeper Celso de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Corimbata got a corner. Juvenil Sport Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Severino Hoffmann ran over to the corner to take the kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Otávio Cerezo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jorge Meira. That made the score 2-0 in the 23 minute of play. Corimbata's Jorge Meira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otávio Cerezo in the 31st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Breno Teles during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Otávio Cerezo made the kick off in the second half. Jorge Meira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otávio Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. If Severino Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celso de Toledo made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Severino Hoffmann sent off a good shot on target. Adilson Alves hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. When Fausto Porto fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Juvenil Sport Club's protests and gave Fausto Porto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th match minute, Juvenil Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Porto to maneuver through the defense. Jorge Meira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After 73 minutes of play, Corimbata's Severino Hoffmann made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celso de Toledo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Severino Hoffmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celso de Toledo was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. 79 minutes into the match, Juvenil Sport Club's goalkeeper Celso de Toledo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Severino Hoffmann. 82 minutes into the match, Severino Hoffmann notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Juvenil Sport Club's Celso de Toledo. Celso de Toledo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 86 minutes, Fausto Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juvenil Sport Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Porto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Severino Hoffmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thiago Netto's late challenge caught a Juvenil Sport Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thiago Netto helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes Corimbata got a freekick which was hit by Thiago Netto. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
