After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Lino Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canarinho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lino Braga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Abraão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 16 minutes into the match, Canarinho FC's goalkeeper Jeremias Brodel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enrique de Alcântara. The referee showed Tadeu Vander the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 35 played minutes Canarinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Tadeu Vander. 37 minutes into the match, Sílvio Luiz Fantini sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Jeremias Brodel threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Sílvio Luiz Fantini this time. The supporters of Colorado booed when Canarinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeu Vander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vladimir Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Colorado players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
