In the 6th minute, Climax FC's Cido Negri ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tadeu Cearense. Tadeu Cearense yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After 9 played minutes Climax FC got a freekick which was hit by Hamílton da Mata. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Cido Negri sped through Divinopolis's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tadeu Cearense. Nabucodonosor Canturri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Divinopolis's Yan Domingues got a free kick in the 19th minute. Climax FC's Cido Negri was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 20th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Cido Negri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeu Cearense having to interfere. Cido Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Tadeu Cearense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tadeu Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cido Negri, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Divinopolis's zone, Cido Negri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tadeu Cearense came out of the goal and Cido Negri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36thth minute of the game Cido Negri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Divinopolis's Tadeu Cearense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tadeu Cearense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cido Negri's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Cido Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Tadeu Cearense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cido Negri in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tadeu Cearense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Otávio Trancoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cido Negri made a kick off. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Cido Negri sped through Divinopolis's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tadeu Cearense. Tadeu Cearense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Climax FC. After 68 played minutes Divinopolis got a freekick which was hit by Yan Domingues. After some careless play in the Divinopolis defense, Nabucodonosor Canturri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tadeu Cearense. The Divinopolis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tadeu Cearense should have stopped the shot. Tadeu Cearense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cido Negri's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Ezequiel Simões took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tadeu Cearense. Divinopolis's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cido Negri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hamílton da Mata hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. When Climax FC's Cido Negri in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Divinopolis's goalie prevented a goal. In the 93rd minute Climax FC were awarded a corner. Ezequiel Simões went to the cornerflag to take it. Climax FC's Ezequiel Simões was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tadeu Cearense in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 95th minute Cido Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeu Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Divinopolis getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Yan Domingues hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Cido Negri put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Tadeu Cearense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Climax FC fully deserved thier win.
