When Patrick Diniz fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sport Club Lagradouro's protests and gave Patrick Diniz a yellow card for diving instead. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Rubinho de Medeiros tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Nilmar Varela. Sport Club Lagradouro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabinho Fernandes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 76th minute, Fabinho Fernandes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sport Club Lagradouro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The supporters of Sport Club Lagradouro booed when Real Brasil Stylee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Real Brasil Stylee were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
