Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) PAIA's Alfredão Munhoz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 played minutes VSKG Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Jarbas Cabral. In the 8th play minute Raúl Moura came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Luís Gustavo Catarinense. 1-0. VSKG Esporte Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Alfredão Munhoz scored to the left of an out of position Luís Gustavo Catarinense, making the score, 2-0. After 20 minutes, Vágner Oliveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PAIA and the VSKG Esporte Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alfredão Munhoz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Luís Gustavo Catarinense made a huge save. Washington Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulão Bezerra having to interfere. Murilo Araújo hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Raúl Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. VSKG Esporte Clube's Jarbas Cabral got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Raúl Moura took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Luís Gustavo Catarinense to make any attempt to save it. When Christiano de Lima fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PAIA's protests and gave Christiano de Lima a yellow card for diving instead. Christiano de Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jarbas Cabral in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulão Bezerra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. PAIA's Paulão Bezerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Oliveira in the 45th minute of play. Alfredão Munhoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Luís Gustavo Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jarbas Cabral was the one to do the kick off. After 60 played minutes PAIA got a freekick which was hit by Christiano de Lima. PAIA's Paulão Bezerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kléberson Paraense in the 65th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Alfredão Munhoz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PAIA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VSKG Esporte Clube the free kick. Alfredão Munhoz hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After 79 played minutes VSKG Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Jarbas Cabral. Vágner Oliveira hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Luís Gustavo Catarinense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfredão Munhoz went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. VSKG Esporte Clube's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
