Luiz Eduardo Romero stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jailson Abraão. 1-1. After 19 minutes, Rafael Cerezo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vila Nova Prudy and the Seu Pôssegama F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 19 played minutes Vila Nova Prudy got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Cerezo. Tales Machado hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Luiz Eduardo Romero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Jailson Abraão made a huge save. 27 minutes into the match, Seu Pôssegama F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Cerezo came free, but Jailson Abraão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Seu Pôssegama F.C.'s Jailson Abraão got control of the ball when Luiz Eduardo Romero tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Vila Nova Prudy getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Ciro Pimenta hit a great ball. Simão Mattos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Hugo Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Régis de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Vila Nova Prudy's Hugo Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Mattos in the 54th minute of play. If Rafael Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jailson Abraão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael Cerezo's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Luiz Eduardo Romero shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. When Rafael Cerezo came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Vila Nova Prudy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Cerezo couldn't finish the play. 71 minutes into the game, Geovanni Cardozo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seu Pôssegama F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vila Nova Prudy the free kick. After a rather tough play, Seu Pôssegama F.C.'s Geovanni Cardozo got a free kick in the 71st minute. After 74 played minutes Vila Nova Prudy got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Montenegro. If Rafael Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Cerezo struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Jailson Abraão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vila Nova Prudy. 95 minutes into the game, Luiz Eduardo Romero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Jailson Abraão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vila Nova Prudy's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
