The supporters of Dragões Azuis FC booed when Embirizal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Neiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dragões Azuis FC's Cléber Porto got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 26 played minutes Cléber Porto rounded Embirizal's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. With 33 minutes on the clock, Ramiro de Azevedo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 32 minutes into the game, one of Dragões Azuis FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Embirizal a penalty, 35 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Telmo Barral, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Dragões Azuis FC's Valdo Perez. 1-1. Telmo Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. William Meireles struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Giovanni Branco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dragões Azuis FC. In the 44th minute Paulão Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdo Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

After having played for 67 minutes, Ramiro Prata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Embirizal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramiro Prata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Dragões Azuis FC's Cleiton Guerra got a free kick in the 82nd minute.
