Spectators: 7519 (Terracing: 5640, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) Michel Marques made the kick off and thus started the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Dedé Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Madruga's supporters rose to their feet, but Dedé Marques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frédson Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Real Madruga's Cafu Koehler in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barbacena EC's goalie prevented a goal. 16 minutes into the game, Real Madruga's Cafu Koehler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frédson Fonseca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Cafu Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Frédson Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Nicolas de Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Barbacena EC's Frédson Fonseca got control of the ball when Cafu Koehler tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, Barbacena EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Paulo Quirino to maneuver through the defense. Dedé Marques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cafu Koehler in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Frédson Fonseca, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Vitório da Mata came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Real Madruga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitório da Mata couldn't finish the play. 34 minutes into the game, Cafu Koehler lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Frédson Fonseca. Róbson Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Marques in the 37th minute of play. Róbson Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, Ricardo Rossi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Róbson Castro. Real Madruga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricardo Rossi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Cafu Koehler made the kick off in the second half. If Cafu Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barbacena EC's Frédson Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel da Silveira in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Luiz Paulo Quirino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Barbacena EC's Frédson Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cafu Koehler in the 63rd minute of play. In the 68th minute, Cafu Koehler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frédson Fonseca was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 71st minute, Nicolas de Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Barbacena EC's zone, Cafu Koehler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frédson Fonseca came out of the goal and Cafu Koehler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the game, Luiz Paulo Quirino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barbacena EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Madruga the free kick. The supporters of Real Madruga booed when Barbacena EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Paulo Quirino didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Cafu Koehler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frédson Fonseca was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. 82 minutes into the match, Cafu Koehler notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Barbacena EC's Frédson Fonseca. Frédson Fonseca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 85 played minutes Barbacena EC got a freekick which was hit by Edvaldo Novaes. After having played for 87 minutes, Cafu Koehler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Madruga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cafu Koehler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cafu Koehler in the 89th minute of play forced Barbacena EC's goalkeeper Frédson Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cafu Koehler in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frédson Fonseca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Barbacena EC's Nicolas de Queiroz got a free kick in the 96th minute. When the referee ended the match the Real Madruga players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
