The supporters of Aracruz booed when Chacorore EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matías Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Fred Pombal came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Chacorore EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fred Pombal couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexey Gyonev in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Falcão Novaes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fred Pombal kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Aracruz's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Fred Pombal scored to the left of an out of position Mikolaj Kaszubowski, making the score, 1-0. In the 26thth minute of the game Alexey Gyonev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chacorore EC's Falcão Novaes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Falcão Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexey Gyonev in the 28th minute of the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute Alexey Gyonev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aracruz's Alexey Gyonev got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rui de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute of the match, Alexey Gyonev tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Falcão Novaes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Teodoro Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After 66 played minutes, Aracruz's Carlos Augusto Goiano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Falcão Novaes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aracruz reached it. Chacorore EC's Falcão Novaes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Chacorore EC from getting a goal against them. In the 70th minute, Luís Fernando Novaes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexey Gyonev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Falcão Novaes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 75 minutes, Matías Araújo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chacorore EC and the Aracruz players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Chacorore EC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Matías Araújo hit a great ball. In the 77th minute, Luís Fernando Novaes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rui de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the last second Falcão Novaes throw himself and got hold of the ball when Alexey Gyonev in the 83rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 85th minute, Amílton das Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexey Gyonev blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Falcão Novaes having to make a save. 89 minutes into the match, Alexey Gyonev dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Falcão Novaes, 1-2. Aracruz's Mikolaj Kaszubowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fernando Novaes in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Aracruz eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
