In the 9th minute, Arsenio Erico left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético-PR fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Falcão Novaes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arsenio Erico in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute of the match Atlético-PR got a corner. Chacorore EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arsenio Erico ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Iuri Toledo got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 3-0. 14 minutes into the match. Chacorore EC's Rui de Queiroz got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arsenio Erico took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Falcão Novaes. Falcão Novaes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Arsenio Erico's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Falcão Novaes firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 26th minute, Conrado de Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute, Atlético-PR's Pedrinho Hoffmann ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Falcão Novaes. Falcão Novaes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. After 30 played minutes Chacorore EC got a freekick which was hit by Fred Pombal. Falcão Novaes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arsenio Erico in the 31st minute. Pedrinho Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the game, one of Chacorore EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Atlético-PR a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Arsenio Erico, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Chacorore EC's Falcão Novaes. 6-0. With an all-out effort, Atlético-PR's Falcão Novaes threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pedrinho Hoffmann, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Falcão Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Artur Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui de Queiroz in the 42nd minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Chacorore EC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrinho Hoffmann came free, but Falcão Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fred Pombal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Matías Araújo fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chacorore EC's protests and gave Matías Araújo a yellow card for diving instead. Chacorore EC's Falcão Novaes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arsenio Erico in the 60th minute of play. Atlético-PR's Pedrinho Hoffmann got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Arsenio Erico ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Falcão Novaes was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. The audience was convinced that Arsenio Erico's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Falcão Novaes was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. 68 minutes into the match, Chacorore EC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrinho Hoffmann came free, but Falcão Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Atlético-PR booed when Chacorore EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Pombal didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Arsenio Erico, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 75 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Falcão Novaes was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Atlético-PR's Pedrinho Hoffmann, in the 89th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Atlético-PR. Falcão Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arsenio Erico, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Arsenio Erico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
