Chacorore EC's Fred Pombal got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antônio Carlos Travassos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rui de Queiroz in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antônio Carlos Travassos saved Mixto Esporte Clube from getting behind. In the 21st minute Cauã Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fred Pombal charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fred Pombal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Chacorore EC's Fred Pombal got a free kick in the 26th minute. Antônio Carlos Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Pombal in the 31st minute of play. A hard shot 34 in the game by Cauã Marques from a close distance when the talented Falcão Novaes managed to make a qualified save. Chacorore EC's players were relieved. When Fred Pombal came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Chacorore EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fred Pombal couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd minute, Mauro Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 42 minutes, Dedé Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mixto Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dedé Viana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fred Pombal was the one to do the kick off. Mixto Esporte Clube's Antônio Carlos Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Pombal in the 52nd minute of play. Chacorore EC's Falcão Novaes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edinho Arantes in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Chacorore EC's Teodoro Fontes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Teodoro Fontes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Chacorore EC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Teodoro Fontes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Falcão Novaes didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Mixto Esporte Clube's Cauã Marques shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 75th match minute, Mixto Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Martins to maneuver through the defense. Falcão Novaes came out of the goal and Edinho Arantes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cauã Marques blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Falcão Novaes having to make a save. Cauã Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mixto Esporte Clube fully deserved thier win.
