With his leg Artur Recife managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Mixto Esporte Clube's Edinho Arantes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 24thth minute of the game Arsenio Erico who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mixto Esporte Clube's Antônio Carlos Travassos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pedrinho Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Carlos Travassos having to interfere. Edinho Arantes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Artur Recife skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Artur Recife made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edinho Arantes in the 36th minute. 43 minutes into the game, Atlético-PR's Pedrinho Hoffmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The supporters of Mixto Esporte Clube booed when Atlético-PR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinei Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antônio Carlos Travassos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arsenio Erico in the 76th minute. Dedé Viana charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dedé Viana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 87th minute, Rodolfo Alagoano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedrinho Hoffmann received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Antônio Carlos Travassos came out and tried to block the shot, but Pedrinho Hoffmann slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 92nd minute. After some careless play in the Mixto Esporte Clube defense, Arsenio Erico kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antônio Carlos Travassos. The Mixto Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antônio Carlos Travassos should have stopped the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Atlético-PR walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
