The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Fred Pombal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enrique Martins was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. 3 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Chacorore EC's Fred Pombal fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. An unexpected shot in the 4th minute by Rui de Queiroz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fred Pombal in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enrique Martins saved Borala FC from getting behind. Breno Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. A collision led to Borala FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Vânderson Saraiva hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fred Pombal in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enrique Martins saved Borala FC from getting behind. 24 minutes into the match, Borala FC's goalkeeper Enrique Martins had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rui de Queiroz. If Rui de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Chacorore EC's Rui de Queiroz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Enrique Martins. Enrique Martins yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Enrique Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Pombal in the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th match minute, Chacorore EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fernando Novaes to maneuver through the defense. Vito Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Falcão Novaes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rui de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fred Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Chacorore EC booed when Borala FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erivaldo Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute of the match, Rui de Queiroz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Enrique Martins was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 46th minute, Rui de Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fred Pombal was the one to do the kick off. Fred Pombal kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. When Borala FC's Vito Ortiz in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chacorore EC's goalie prevented a goal. Borala FC's Erivaldo Vianna couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 61st minute. Erivaldo Vianna was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 69th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 74th match minute, Chacorore EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fernando Novaes to maneuver through the defense. When Vânderson Saraiva fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borala FC's protests and gave Vânderson Saraiva a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th minute, Vânderson Saraiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vito Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Novaes having to interfere. Alexandre Cardozo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 82nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Borala FC's Vânderson Saraiva managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fred Pombal in the 83 minute of the game. After 87 played minutes Borala FC got a freekick which was hit by Vânderson Saraiva. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Vito Ortiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borala FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vito Ortiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Falcão Novaes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fernandão Dante kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Chacorore EC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Borala FC had controlled the match.
