He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 23rd minute Zé Roberto Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luizão Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evandro Pereira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kléberson Zonta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Cláudio Terra scored 1-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luizão Proença, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zé Roberto Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evandro Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléberson Zonta having to interfere. Cláudio Terra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Luizão Proença tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cláudio Terra in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luizão Proença, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Mohameds Club's Magno Costa in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maragipinho's goalie prevented a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Magno Costa made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Emanuel Valladares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Magno Costa struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Kléberson Zonta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mohameds Club. Yan Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After having played for 56 minutes, Magno Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mohameds Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Magno Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amílton Messias's late challenge caught a Maragipinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amílton Messias helped the player get up and apologised. After 63 played minutes Mohameds Club got a freekick which was hit by Amílton Messias. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maragipinho's goalkeeper Kléberson Zonta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Magno Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Kléberson Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mohameds Club's zone, Zé Roberto Cavalcante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luizão Proença came out of the goal and Zé Roberto Cavalcante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evandro Pereira came free with the goalkeeper in the 83rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kléberson Zonta could save by the left post. Zé Roberto Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Roberto Cavalcante in the 87th minute of play forced Mohameds Club's goalkeeper Luizão Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
