Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wellington Paraibano started the match with the kick off. Willian Dante could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 2nd minute of the match, but Jardel Sanches made a huge save. Grêmio's Jorge Recife got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wellington Paraibano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Charles Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Xaraco SC's zone, Jorge Recife stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Campidelis came out of the goal and Jorge Recife tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 11 minutes, Dorian Pontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Xaraco SC and the Grêmio players grew even worse after the yellow card. 10 minutes into the game, one of Xaraco SC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Daniel Campidelis had in the 12thth minute some difficulties stopping Mauro Alves's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a rather tough play, Xaraco SC's Dorian Pontes got a free kick in the 13th minute. When Grêmio's Wellington Paraibano in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Wellington Paraibano put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Daniel Campidelis. After 25 played minutes Mauro Alves shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Xaraco SC's Daniel Campidelis to catch but Mauro Alves was lucky. It became 0-3 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. 27 minutes into the match, Xaraco SC's goal looked a bit too open when Vânderson Mello came free, but Daniel Campidelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Xaraco SC's zone, Wellington Paraibano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Campidelis came out of the goal and Wellington Paraibano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th match minute, Xaraco SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovânio Velloso to maneuver through the defense.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcelo Quintal to strike the kick off in the second half. Wellington Paraibano in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Daniel Campidelis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jardel Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Tróia in the 67th minute of play. After 69 played minutes, Grêmio's Charles Arósio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Daniel Campidelis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Grêmio reached it. Xaraco SC's Daniel Campidelis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Xaraco SC from getting a goal against them. Daniel Campidelis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vânderson Mello showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 74 minute of play. Daniel Campidelis came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio's Wellington Paraibano. But to his dismay, Wellington Paraibano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Daniel Campidelis didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 84th minute, which inside left pole to 0-7. In the 91st minute Benjamin Tróia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jardel Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Grêmio could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Xaraco SC throughout the match.
