Boleiros's Dagoberto Jacinto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Boleiros from getting a goal against them. In the 9th minute, Zé Augusto Goiano made a precise shot to the right of Jerônimo Tande. Bacara's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Jerônimo Tande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Bittencourt in the 14th minute of the match. Elias Gomes hit a great ball. After 29 minutes Bacara's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was João Paulo de Azevedo who took care of the corner kick. The Boleiros fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Boleiros's Pedro Bittencourt looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Arnaldo Ferraz's late challenge caught a Bacara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Bittencourt to make the kick off. Jerônimo Tande was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Pedro Bittencourt came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Boleiros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Bittencourt couldn't finish the play.
