Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Durvalino Mello started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Madureira's Claudinho Vides dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 6 minutes into the game, Oséias Carneiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Madureira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Black Storm FC the free kick. In the 7th minute, Oséias Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Black Storm FC booed when Madureira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesinha Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Martins in the 13th minute of play forced Madureira's goalkeeper Cristian Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Júlio Martins made a precise shot to the right of Cristian Coelho. Madureira's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Black Storm FC's Edvaldo Borges proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Black Storm FC from getting a goal against them. 18 minutes into the match, Edmundo Mesquita notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Madureira's Cristian Coelho. Cristian Coelho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudinho Vides got free with Edvaldo Borges in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Frédson Meireles fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Madureira's protests and gave Frédson Meireles a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Madureira getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Frédson Meireles hit a great ball. Madureira's Agnaldo Arce got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute Claudinho Vides shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvaldo Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Mesquita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the match, Edmundo Mesquita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristian Coelho. Madureira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmundo Mesquita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Cristian Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After a rather tough play, Black Storm FC's Dráuzio Pereira got a free kick in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Mesquita was the one to do the kick off. Cristian Coelho made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Luís Fabiano Secco sent off a good shot on target. 55 minutes into the match, Madureira's goalkeeper Cristian Coelho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmundo Mesquita. 57 minutes into the match, Black Storm FC's goal looked a bit too open when Durvalino Mello came free, but Edvaldo Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Agnaldo Arce had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edvaldo Borges. Black Storm FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agnaldo Arce was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Thanks to some nice moves Luís Fabiano Secco could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Cristian Coelho however easily saved by the left post. In the 62nd minute, Edmundo Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alessandro Tavares lost his temper 63 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 65th minute Agnaldo Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvaldo Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmundo Mesquita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Cristian Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Luís Fabiano Secco fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Black Storm FC's protests and gave Luís Fabiano Secco a yellow card for diving instead. After 76 minutes of play, Black Storm FC's Edmundo Mesquita made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristian Coelho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Teodoro Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvaldo Borges having to interfere. Edvaldo Borges came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Madureira's Durvalino Mello. But to his dismay, Durvalino Mello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durvalino Mello in the 97th minute of play forced Black Storm FC's goalkeeper Edvaldo Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Black Storm FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
