The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Fireball Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiaguinho Cavalcante to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Fireball Esporte Clube booed when Rolo Compressor FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Halis Uysal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute, Caio Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerson Vianna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gil Magalhães in the 7th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Fireball Esporte Clube's zone, Halis Uysal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kajetan Rasialdo came out of the goal and Halis Uysal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gerson Vianna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Magalhães in the 19th minute of play. Kajetan Rasialdo made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Halis Uysal sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caio Vergílio in the 25th minute of play forced Fireball Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Kajetan Rasialdo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Halis Uysal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute, Caio Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Rolo Compressor FC's Caio Vergílio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kajetan Rasialdo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Halis Uysal took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kajetan Rasialdo. Kajetan Rasialdo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 40th match minute, Rolo Compressor FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caio Vergílio to maneuver through the defense. Gerson Vianna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gil Magalhães went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 44th minute, Fausto Vianna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Pereira in the 46th minute of play forced Rolo Compressor FC's goalkeeper Gerson Vianna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute of the match Fireball Esporte Clube got a corner. Rolo Compressor FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tiaguinho Cavalcante ran over to the corner to take the kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gil Magalhães to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Rolo Compressor FC's Halis Uysal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kajetan Rasialdo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 54th of the match, Tiaguinho Cavalcante tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Gerson Vianna got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 58th minute, Cristiano Schmidt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 59 minutes into the match, Fireball Esporte Clube's Tiaguinho Cavalcante sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gerson Vianna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gilberto Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerson Vianna having to interfere. Ricardinho Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. Halis Uysal charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Halis Uysal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th match minute, Rolo Compressor FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Halis Uysal to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Fireball Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Gil Magalhães hit a great ball. Gil Magalhães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Gerson Vianna made a huge save. In the 90th match minute, Rolo Compressor FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Halis Uysal to maneuver through the defense. When Caio Vergílio came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Rolo Compressor FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caio Vergílio couldn't finish the play. Gil Magalhães might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gerson Vianna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gil Magalhães ran back to his position shaking his head.
