Paulo Tróia made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Manuel Palmeira sent off a good shot on target. If Jerônimo Fantini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Clube União Popular's Paulo Tróia threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Christiano Alagoano, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Manuel Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 played minutes Clube União Popular got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Palmeira. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Laércio Couto during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26th match minute, Bola FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laércio Couto to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Bola FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Nilson Santana hit a great ball. Paulo Tróia came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Clube União Popular's Hugo Moreno. But to his dismay, Hugo Moreno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 34th minute, Manuel Palmeira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo Tróia was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Bola FC's Paulo Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Palmeira in the 39th minute of play. Paulo Tróia made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Ruy Brito sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Clube União Popular booed when Bola FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laércio Couto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 46 minutes of play, Bola FC's Gilmar Dante made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodrigo Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilmar Dante stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jerônimo Fantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the match, Jerônimo Fantini had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo Tróia. Bola FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jerônimo Fantini was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Manuel Palmeira struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Paulo Tróia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube União Popular. João Pedro Mendes hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Bola FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Palmeira came free, but Paulo Tróia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 66 minutes of play, Clube União Popular's Jerônimo Fantini made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The supporters of Clube União Popular booed when Bola FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedito Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Bola FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christiano Alagoano came free, but Paulo Tróia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 6-1 became the score in the 77th minute when Jerônimo Fantini elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 86th minute, Jerônimo Fantini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilmar Dante got free with Rodrigo Amorim in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jerônimo Fantini struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Paulo Tróia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube União Popular. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Clube União Popular had played much better football throughout.
