The referee ignored Bola FC's protests and gave Valdomiro Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. Valdomiro Queirós hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Bola FC's Benedito Esteves got a free kick in the 4th minute. Paulo Tróia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Bola FC's Paulo Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cafu Martins in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Kabelo FC's Marconi Coutinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo Tróia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 13th minute, Cacá Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the match, Marconi Coutinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo Tróia. Bola FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marconi Coutinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After some careless play in the Bola FC defense, Luiz Fabiano Neto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Tróia. The Bola FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Tróia should have stopped the shot. Paulo Tróia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marconi Coutinho went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Paulo Tróia came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Kabelo FC's Cristóvão Dracena. But to his dismay, Cristóvão Dracena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Marconi Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Tróia having to interfere. Marconi Coutinho scored 0-8 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo Tróia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 47th minute Cristóvão Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Tróia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristóvão Dracena made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Kabelo FC's Cristóvão Dracena nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Paulo Tróia successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 74th minute Cristóvão Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Tróia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Bola FC's goalkeeper Paulo Tróia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristóvão Dracena.
