Paulo Tróia was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Oséias Falcão capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Oséias Falcão really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 12th minute Dieguinho Fernandes suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 12 minutes into the game, Benedito Esteves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bola FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Everest Futebol Clube the free kick. Everest Futebol Clube made a substitution. Betão Albuquerque replaced Dieguinho Fernandes. After 14 played minutes Bola FC got a freekick which was hit by Benedito Esteves. The crowd rose to their feet as Oséias Falcão kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paulo Tróia. That made the score 2-0 in the 22 minute of play. In the 30th match minute, Everest Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulão Lara to maneuver through the defense. Oséias Falcão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Paulo Tróia made a huge save. 34 minutes into the game, Everest Futebol Clube's Oséias Falcão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo Tróia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Paulão Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Oséias Falcão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilmar Dante stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Everest Futebol Clube's Oséias Falcão got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo Tróia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oséias Falcão in the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oséias Falcão in the 71st minute of play forced Bola FC's goalkeeper Paulo Tróia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Tróia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Mineiro in the 78th minute of the match. Igor Mineiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Tróia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After some careless play in the Bola FC defense, Paulão Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Tróia. The Bola FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Tróia should have stopped the shot. Paulão Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Tróia came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Everest Futebol Clube's Cláudio Botelho. But to his dismay, Cláudio Botelho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. When Paulão Lara fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Everest Futebol Clube's protests and gave Paulão Lara a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Bola FC booed when Everest Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulão Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Everest Futebol Clube were the better team. Everest Futebol Clube's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
