A collision led to East Tokyo United getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Joaquin Markel hit a great ball. In the 19th match minute, Helmet Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gugu da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. Tiago Dantas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Josué Camargo's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. After 21 played minutes East Tokyo United got a freekick which was hit by Elari Kaaaas. In the 25th minute, Nico de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiago Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josué Camargo, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Elari Kaaaas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Délio Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th match minute, Helmet Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nico Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. Hílton Zonta came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Helmet Football Club's Nico Fonseca. But to his dismay, Nico Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nico Fonseca in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hílton Zonta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joaquin Markel struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Tiago Dantas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for East Tokyo United. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Josué Camargo made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Helmet Football Club's Nico de Salles got a free kick in the 51st minute. The audience was convinced that Nico Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hílton Zonta was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. 55 minutes in the game, Nico Fonseca dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruy Cambuquira got free with Tiago Dantas in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 61st minute of the match East Tokyo United got a corner. Helmet Football Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ruy Cambuquira ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hílton Zonta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gugu da Rocha in the 89th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the East Tokyo United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Helmet Football Club.
