Anísio Antunes took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Moisés da Costa. Moisés da Costa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Moisés da Costa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anísio Antunes went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 26th minute Paulo José Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Rodriguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giorgian De Arrascaeta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Moisés da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moisés da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giorgian De Arrascaeta in the 29th minute of play. Léo Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Rodriguez having to interfere. Rodolfo Rodriguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo José Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 41st match minute, Minaçu Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thiago Simão to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Léo Pitta in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodolfo Rodriguez saved Minaçu Esporte Clube from getting behind. In the 46th minute Paulo José Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Rodriguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Giorgian De Arrascaeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Giorgian De Arrascaeta to strike the kick off in the second half. Minaçu Esporte Clube's Rodolfo Rodriguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo José Vale in the 58th minute of play. Luiz Paulo Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Moisés da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anísio Antunes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Moisés da Costa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 68th minute, José Vítor Trigo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Canelada Sport fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. David Arce hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Moisés da Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anísio Antunes in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute, José Vítor Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Léo Pitta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Canelada Sport's supporters rose to their feet, but Léo Pitta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Rodriguez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Minaçu Esporte Clube were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Atlético Canelada Sport's much stronger midfield.
