The supporters of União São José FC booed when Caravelas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, União São José FC's goal looked a bit too open when Yan Corrêa came free, but Lauro da Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alex de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mário Paulista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Roger de Lara made a huge save. Claudinei Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Alex de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Lauro da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 68 played minutes União São José FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabiano de Sena. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Alex de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caravelas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex de Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lauro da Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
