Romário Baggio started the match with the kick off. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Ademar Carioca took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Luisinho Martins to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Laje de Pedra booed when Dementadores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Olof Arenstedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute, Marlin Rosas fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Luisinho Martins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dariusz Jaruzelski in the 11th minute. Petruț Ostoici kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Dariusz Jaruzelski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laje de Pedra's Luisinho Martins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Laje de Pedra from getting a goal against them. The Dementadores fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Dementadores's Dariusz Jaruzelski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 29 played minutes Laje de Pedra got a freekick which was hit by Yuri Gaúcho. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dariusz Jaruzelski in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisinho Martins saved Laje de Pedra from getting behind. In the 35th minute Marlin Rosas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisinho Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulinho Velloso's late challenge caught a Laje de Pedra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulinho Velloso helped the player get up and apologised. Paulinho Velloso hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Laje de Pedra's Themis Kalokerinos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 38th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Dementadores. Laje de Pedra's Luisinho Martins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademar Carioca in the 40th minute of play. Luisinho Martins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petruț Ostoici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Dementadores's Petruț Ostoici dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Petruț Ostoici's late challenge caught a Laje de Pedra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petruț Ostoici helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Dementadores getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Petruț Ostoici hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Dariusz Jaruzelski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luisinho Martins. That made the score 4-0 in the 48 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The referee showed Doriva de Amorim the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Dementadores booed when Laje de Pedra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doriva de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diguinho Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 98 minutes into the game, one of Laje de Pedra:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Dementadores a penalty, 99 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Petruț Ostoici, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Laje de Pedra's Luisinho Martins. 10-0. Marlin Rosas kicked well hit freekick during the 101st minute of the match. Luisinho Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marlin Rosas in the 103rd minute of the match. Dementadores's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
