Laje de Pedra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Themis Kalokerinos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Inter de Plataforma FC.'s Hernani Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romário Baggio in the 11th minute of play. When Remi Rassen in the 13th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Luisinho Martins kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. After 16 minutes of play, Inter de Plataforma FC.'s Remi Rassen made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luisinho Martins was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luisinho Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genílson da Rocha in the 19th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Remi Rassen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luisinho Martins. Laje de Pedra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Remi Rassen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Inter de Plataforma FC.'s Hernani Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romário Baggio in the 29th minute of play. Inter de Plataforma FC.'s Remi Rassen was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 30th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remi Rassen in the 33rd minute of play forced Laje de Pedra's goalkeeper Luisinho Martins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Genílson da Rocha received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luisinho Martins came out and tried to block the shot, but Genílson da Rocha slotted it home off the left post making it 5-1 in the 40th minute. Remi Rassen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Luisinho Martins when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Remi Rassen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Remi Rassen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 54 played minutes Laje de Pedra got a freekick which was hit by Themis Kalokerinos. Inter de Plataforma FC.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wilfredo Lonzo in the 57th minute. Themis Kalokerinos helped the player get up and apologised. Themis Kalokerinos hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Laje de Pedra's zone, Remi Rassen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisinho Martins came out of the goal and Remi Rassen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luisinho Martins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Remi Rassen's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Remi Rassen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luisinho Martins having to make a save. In the 92nd minute, Elivélton Loyola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the match, Inter de Plataforma FC.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dalmo Penha came free, but Hernani Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Inter de Plataforma FC.'s goalkeeper Hernani Zonta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romário Baggio. In the 95th minute, Laje de Pedra's Dalmo Penha ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hernani Zonta. Hernani Zonta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 6-2. Inter de Plataforma FC. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Laje de Pedra for a fine match.
