Zeca Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomás Kroos in the 6th minute of the match. In the 8thth minute of the game Dariusz Jaruzelski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fenix's Kiko Diniz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fenix's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Petruț Ostoici was slow to take the kick. During this time Dementadores's players had a chance to rest. 13 minutes into the game, Petruț Ostoici recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kiko Diniz. Petruț Ostoici showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The supporters of Dementadores booed when Fenix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomás Kroos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kiko Diniz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dariusz Jaruzelski's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute Dementadores were awarded a corner. Petruț Ostoici went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Petruț Ostoici almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Fenix's Kiko Diniz did a great save. Fenix's Kiko Diniz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Fenix from getting a goal against them. Dementadores's Zeca Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomás Kroos in the 29th minute of play. Duda Saraiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Oliveira having to interfere. After 40 minutes of play, Fenix's Dalmo Jacinto made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zeca Oliveira was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 45th minute, Fenix's Adilson Pimenta seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Adilson Pimenta the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Fenix protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Adilson Pimenta had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Fenix:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dementadores:s goal. Fenix:s Kiko Diniz showed great skill when he stopped Petruț Ostoici:s penalty. 47 minutes into the match, Fenix's goalkeeper Kiko Diniz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Petruț Ostoici. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dalmo Jacinto was the one to do the kick off. Fenix's Thomás Kroos got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dariusz Jaruzelski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Kiko Diniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duda Saraiva kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 66th match minute, Fenix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Berger to maneuver through the defense. Fenix's Kiko Diniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dariusz Jaruzelski in the 69th minute of play. Kiko Diniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dariusz Jaruzelski, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 73rd minute, Dariusz Jaruzelski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When František Borbély fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fenix's protests and gave František Borbély a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st match minute, Fenix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by František Borbély to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Fenix players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dementadores.
