In the 15th minute, Zico Maravilha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Moses Mos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 17th minute, Sergio-Roberto Dinamite made a precise shot to the right of Moses Mos. Pucazeiro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Pucazeiro's Moses Mos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Pucazeiro from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Misericordia EC booed when Pucazeiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráuzio Zanette didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdomiro Luz took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Moses Mos. Moses Mos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Caio Palmeira hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pucazeiro's zone, Faustão Terra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moses Mos came out of the goal and Faustão Terra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pucazeiro's Moses Mos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Pucazeiro from getting a goal against them. Moses Mos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdomiro Luz in the 34th minute of play. Moses Mos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustão Terra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Valdomiro Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Misericordia EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdomiro Luz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moses Mos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dário Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moses Mos having to interfere. Moses Mos came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Misericordia EC's Faustão Terra. But to his dismay, Faustão Terra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sergio-Roberto Dinamite got free with Moses Mos in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Paranaense to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Valdomiro Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moses Mos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Zico Maravilha notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Pucazeiro's Moses Mos. Moses Mos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Valdomiro Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moses Mos having to interfere. Valdomiro Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Moses Mos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio-Roberto Dinamite, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Zico Maravilha scored 7-0 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Moses Mos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Faustão Terra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Moses Mos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moses Mos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the Misericordia EC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
