Dalmo Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Zonta having to interfere. Luisinho Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remi Rassen in the 7th minute of play. After having played for 10 minutes, Iwan Poling managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter de Plataforma FC.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Iwan Poling was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luisinho Martins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genílson da Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laje de Pedra's Luisinho Martins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genílson da Rocha in the 12th minute of play. Luisinho Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remi Rassen in the 15th minute of the match. Hernani Zonta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmo Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The supporters of Inter de Plataforma FC. booed when Laje de Pedra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthon Gullesson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remi Rassen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luisinho Martins. Laje de Pedra's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hernani Zonta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romário Baggio in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remi Rassen in the 29th minute of play forced Laje de Pedra's goalkeeper Luisinho Martins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute Remi Rassen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisinho Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elivélton Loyola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisinho Martins having to interfere. Luisinho Martins came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Inter de Plataforma FC.'s Remi Rassen. But to his dismay, Remi Rassen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Inter de Plataforma FC.'s Iwan Poling got a free kick in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Luisinho Martins was a little too slow when Genílson da Rocha got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 0-3. After 58 minutes of play, Inter de Plataforma FC.'s Remi Rassen made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luisinho Martins was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 63rdth minute of the game Remi Rassen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Laje de Pedra's Luisinho Martins was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remi Rassen got free with Luisinho Martins in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Inter de Plataforma FC.'s Luisinho Martins threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Iwan Poling, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yuri Gaúcho during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 69 played minutes Laje de Pedra got a freekick which was hit by Yuri Gaúcho. Luisinho Martins didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Remi Rassen went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Iwan Poling's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luisinho Martins read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Hernani Zonta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romário Baggio in the 77th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Laje de Pedra's goalkeeper Luisinho Martins had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elivélton Loyola. Luisinho Martins made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Remi Rassen sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Laje de Pedra's Luisinho Martins got control of the ball when Remi Rassen tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Iwan Poling kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luisinho Martins. That made the score 0-6 in the 92 minute of play. When the match was over Inter de Plataforma FC. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Laje de Pedra throughout the match.
