When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Caco Guimarães sped through Encardidos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Reinaldo Cardoso. After a rather tough play, Encardidos's Adilson Araújo got a free kick in the 15th minute. Encardidos's Reinaldo Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo Campidelis in the 24th minute of play. After 25 minutes, Dong Jing Zhen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Encardidos and the Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Encardidos getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Dong Jing Zhen hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Téo Campidelis in the 31st minute of play forced Encardidos's goalkeeper Reinaldo Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
