Spectators: 7663 (Terracing: 5748, Seating: 1762, VIP seats: 153) Rômulo Carvalho started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Afligidos's Zé Roberto Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Afligidos's Tostão Alagoano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Afligidos from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Afligidos's Tostão Alagoano got control of the ball when Hortêncio Mesquita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedrinho Veloso came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Afligidos's Zé Roberto Aguiar. But to his dismay, Zé Roberto Aguiar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jacinto Messias kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Pedrinho Veloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitório Botelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hortêncio Mesquita got free with Tostão Alagoano in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rômulo Carvalho in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tostão Alagoano saved Afligidos from getting behind. The throw-in from Hugo Almeida in the 21st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Afligidos's Vladimir Santana. Carlos Alberto Araújo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedrinho Veloso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to Afligidos getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Vitório Botelho hit a great ball. The Afligidos fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Afligidos's Zé Roberto Aguiar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rômulo Carvalho in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tostão Alagoano, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 33rd minute Carlos Alberto Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrinho Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Alberto Araújo in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedrinho Veloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rômulo Carvalho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Tostão Alagoano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Chafariz's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hugo Almeida in the 37th minute. A nice corner shot did that Hortêncio Mesquita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tostão Alagoano quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Chafariz's Renatinho Furtado got a free kick in the 40th minute. When Carlos Alberto Araújo came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Afligidos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Alberto Araújo couldn't finish the play. Léo Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match.

Chafariz made a substitution. Bernard Filipkowski replaced Jardel Leão. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Roberto Aguiar to strike the kick off in the second half. Zé Roberto Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Pedrinho Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Chafariz getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Jacinto Messias hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute of the match Chafariz got a corner. Afligidos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hugo Almeida ran over to the corner to take the kick. Arnaldo Martins thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Tostão Alagoano, a very annoying self made goal in the 62nd minute which led to 1-2. Chafariz's Pedrinho Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Alberto Araújo in the 65th minute of play. Pedrinho Veloso was a little too slow when Vitório Botelho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 1-3. Carlos Alberto Araújo scored 2-4 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedrinho Veloso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Afligidos booed when Chafariz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Oséias Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the game, Bernard Filipkowski threw the ball into play from the sideline. Afligidos's Zé Augusto Mendonça quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Vitório Botelho took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Pedrinho Veloso to make any attempt to save it. Afligidos's Vitório Botelho got his second yellow card of the match in the 92nd minute. The referee ordered Vitório Botelho off the ground. Vitório Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Chafariz's Rômulo Carvalho got a free kick in the 95th minute. Pedrinho Veloso didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Afligidos's Zé Roberto Aguiar shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-6 in the ordered_time% minute. Afligidos played a much better game than Chafariz and deserved their victory. The Chafariz players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
