Vivaldo Carvalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Fonseca's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. MILAN F C's Marco Fonseca was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 3rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 8th minute, Carlos Fernando Faria made a precise shot to the right of Vivaldo Carvalho. CUIABÁ EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 11 minutes into the match, Carlos Fernando Faria had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vivaldo Carvalho. CUIABÁ EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Fernando Faria was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Marco Fonsecas short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Vivaldo Carvalho to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Marco Fonseca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Vivaldo Carvalho made a huge save. In the 19th minute, Marco Fonseca fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Vivaldo Carvalho, passed just outside the right post. When MILAN F C's Marco Fonseca in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CUIABÁ EC's goalie prevented a goal. Vivaldo Carvalho came out of the goal and Carlos Fernando Faria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marco Fonseca scored 4-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vivaldo Carvalho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. CUIABÁ EC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Marco Fonseca 28 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 5-0. After a rather tough play, MILAN F C's Marquinhos Xavier got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when MILAN F C's Marco Fonseca in the 34th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Vivaldo Carvalho was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for CUIABÁ EC through an amazing save. MILAN F C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Benê Capixaba in the 35th minute. MILAN F C's Marquinhos Xavier was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vivaldo Carvalho in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Luiz Paulo Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Karl Maubert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júlio Albuquerque took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vivaldo Carvalho. Vivaldo Carvalho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. After a defensive mix-up in CUIABÁ EC's zone, Carlos Fernando Faria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vivaldo Carvalho came out of the goal and Carlos Fernando Faria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marco Fonseca to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Marco Fonseca made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. CUIABÁ EC's Vivaldo Carvalho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Benê Capixaba managed to get in a good position for a shot. MILAN F C's supporters rose to their feet, but Benê Capixaba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vivaldo Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th minute, Benê Capixaba left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MILAN F C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. In the 64thth minute of the game Marco Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CUIABÁ EC's Vivaldo Carvalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 65th minute, Marco Fonseca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vivaldo Carvalho was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-0. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Marco Fonseca put it in 13-0 from a short distance just to the right of Vivaldo Carvalho. Vivaldo Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Fonseca in the 78th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Marco Fonseca put it in 14-0 from a short distance just to the right of Vivaldo Carvalho. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 15-0 when Marco Fonseca sped through CUIABÁ EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vivaldo Carvalho. 89 minutes into the game, MILAN F C's Benê Capixaba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vivaldo Carvalho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 16-0. 94 minutes into the match, Carlos Fernando Faria notched a goal, 17-0, to the right of CUIABÁ EC's Vivaldo Carvalho. Vivaldo Carvalho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee ended the match the MILAN F C players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
