The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Soeiro got free with Glauco Soeiro in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sydney Antunes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. After 99 played minutes Atlético-MG got a freekick which was hit by Sydney Antunes. When the referee ended the match the Atlético-MG players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
