The audience was convinced that Willian Félix's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ergo Muro was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. 22 minutes into the match, Caatiba MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Silva came free, but Ergo Muro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodriguinho Linhares took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rogério Ceni. Rogério Ceni dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Niceto Ihazintu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Vinícius Servaes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nuno Mattos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Diamante Negro DK - VV players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Caatiba MZC.
