Eurico Arantes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 12th minute Doni Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico Arantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eurico Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doni Barbosa in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doni Barbosa in the 16th minute of play forced GLADIADORES's goalkeeper Eurico Arantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastião Furtado's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Zé Pedro Mandrak skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 26 played minutes GLADIADORES got a freekick which was hit by Zé Augusto Cruz. Eurico Arantes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Doni Barbosa went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 32nd match minute, Limoeiro-PE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Zonta to maneuver through the defense. When Sebastião Furtado came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the GLADIADORES fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastião Furtado couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the match, Doni Barbosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eurico Arantes. GLADIADORES's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Doni Barbosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Neto in the 40th minute of play forced GLADIADORES's goalkeeper Eurico Arantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st match minute, GLADIADORES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Trigo to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute Richard Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico Arantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Sebastião Furtado could shoot a difficult shot in the 47th minute, which Zé Pedro Mandrak however easily saved by the left post. After the first half Limoeiro-PE FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With a little luck, GLADIADORES's Eurico Arantes got control of the ball when Doni Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 52nd match minute, GLADIADORES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Trigo to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Richard Neto got free with Eurico Arantes in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 55 minutes GLADIADORES's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Doni Barbosa who took care of the corner kick. Pedro Paulo da Silveira's late challenge caught a Limoeiro-PE FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Paulo da Silveira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th minute, Pedro Paulo da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 58 played minutes GLADIADORES got a freekick which was hit by Ian Trigo. In the 59th minute, Luís Fabiano Fontes made a precise shot to the right of Eurico Arantes. GLADIADORES's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Richard Neto took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eurico Arantes. Eurico Arantes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. If Doni Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Limoeiro-PE FC's Richard Neto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eurico Arantes. That made the score 0-6 after 69 minutes of play. Doni Barbosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Eurico Arantes made a huge save. In the 73rd minute, Richard Neto reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eurico Arantes. The goal made the score 0-7. A collision led to Limoeiro-PE FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Luís Fabiano Fontes hit a great ball. Rony Gerber took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zé Pedro Mandrak. Limoeiro-PE FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastião Furtado in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Pedro Mandrak saved Limoeiro-PE FC from getting behind. Doni Barbosa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eurico Arantes came out and tried to block the shot, but Doni Barbosa slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 82nd minute. Limoeiro-PE FC's Kléberson Gomes was substituted for Doni Barbosa. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gino do Valle got free with Eurico Arantes in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gino do Valle in the 89th minute of play forced GLADIADORES's goalkeeper Eurico Arantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sebastião Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Zé Augusto Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Limoeiro-PE FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
