Caxias do Sul's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was 武岩然 who took care of the corner kick. 16 minutes into the game, Ricardinho de Senna lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Magno Correia. Mamutes EC's Natã Miranda pulled a muscle in his back after 18 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Faustão Châton charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faustão Châton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Faustão Châton kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. If Benedykt Pankiewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 30 minutes of play, Mamutes EC's Dave Panno made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Esen Sanal was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardinho de Senna got free with Magno Correia in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Esen Sanal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Panno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Faustão Châton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Magno Correia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Mario Pochekanski was substituted for Benedykt Pankiewicz. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Dave Panno made the kick off in the second half. S.E.R. With his leg Esen Sanal managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Mamutes EC's Valério Meireles fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Esen Sanal made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Valério Meireles sent off a good shot on target. Lei Feng Yan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Magno Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esen Sanal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeu Rocha in the 69th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Dave Panno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mamutes EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dave Panno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esen Sanal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 77 minutes into the match, Mamutes EC's goal looked a bit too open when Lei Feng Yan came free, but Magno Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 78 minutes Mamutes EC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wellington Fonseca who took care of the corner kick. Esen Sanal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Panno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Panno in the 82nd minute of play. Krisztián Véber blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Magno Correia having to make a save. Lei Feng Yan struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Magno Correia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E.R. Caxias do Sul. Esen Sanal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Rocha in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th minute Dave Panno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esen Sanal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th match minute, Mamutes EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dave Panno to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of S.E.R. Caxias do Sul booed when Mamutes EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. He Peng Zhou didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th match minute, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wellington Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 95 minutes, 武岩然 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mamutes EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but 武岩然 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
