An unexpected shot in the 13th minute by Guaberto Artaldo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With his leg Ariel Acosta managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Chacarita Juniors's Francisco Adrio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Guaberto Artaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chacarita Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Guaberto Artaldo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliseo Uxio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Martxel in the 96th minute of play. There was no doubt that Chacarita Juniors were the better team.
