Defensores de Rosario's Marcelino Amaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquin Herensuge in the 14th minute of play. Barnaba Andrysiak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaias Monte in the 16th minute of the match. After having played for 24 minutes, Joaquin Herensuge managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ANIMAL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquin Herensuge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guaberto Gorri might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelino Amaya. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guaberto Gorri ran back to his position shaking his head. Joaquin Herensuge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pablo Guilabertus hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 55th minute Guaberto Gorri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Amaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Filip Iovulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
