When Aldo Lucero fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored chacayes's protests and gave Aldo Lucero a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, chacayes's Aldo Lucero got a free kick in the 12th minute. Vladimiro Truylos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Santa Rita F.C booed when chacayes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benito Orzaize didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in chacayes's zone, Vladimiro Truylos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Placido Vistruario came out of the goal and Vladimiro Truylos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The throw-in from Carmelo Terciero in the 24th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Santa Rita F.C's Jorge Vito. When Santa Rita F.C's Vladimiro Truylos in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vladimiro Truylos to make the kick off. Reynaldo Cordera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Vistruario having to interfere. Vladimiro Truylos struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Placido Vistruario didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santa Rita F.C. Reynaldo Cordera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Placido Vistruario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Cordera in the 80th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Vladimiro Truylos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Placido Vistruario was relentless in the 97th minute of the game.
