Casimiro Pirro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 37th minute, Vicente Osasun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hermengildo Sandalio was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Silvestre Espiridion might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Casimiro Pirro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After having played for 77 minutes, Guaberto Orlondon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Azulgranaz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guaberto Orlondon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gualterio Santiago came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Zárate FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gualterio Santiago couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd minute Vicente Osasun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermengildo Sandalio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
