In the 17th minute, Jonathan Escobar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in A.A.L.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! In the 28th minute Ramon Piarres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecilio Koldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute of the match Lucio Idacio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cecilio Koldo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Quenumá's Benicio Urdaspal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Evarado in the 37th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Quenumá's zone, Felix Evarado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benicio Urdaspal came out of the goal and Felix Evarado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cecilio Koldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Rolado, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Evarado in the 45th minute of play forced Quenumá's goalkeeper Benicio Urdaspal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Aldo Rolado made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Jonathan Escobar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benicio Urdaspal was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. A collision led to Quenumá getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Adrian Benet hit a great ball. In the 78th minute Aldo Rolado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecilio Koldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Felix Evarado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Quenumá players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
