In the 48th minute, Placido Telesforo made a precise shot to the right of Elvio Azibar. Talleres's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The Talleres players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Correas were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugo Sidro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hugo Sidro struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Eduardo Guerau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Talleres. In the 62nd minute, Florentino Celio made a precise shot to the right of Eduardo Guerau. Correas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Placido Telesforo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilfredo Aureo during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Correas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
