An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Porfirio in the 21st minute of play forced DEPORTIVO MERLO's goalkeeper Natalio Chap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee showed Justo Tadzio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Justo Tadzio hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Sunchales's Emiliano Porfirio got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorge Richie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in DEPORTIVO MERLO's zone, Emiliano Porfirio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natalio Chap came out of the goal and Emiliano Porfirio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emiliano Porfirio in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Natalio Chap prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Jorge Richie came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Sunchales fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Richie couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emiliano Porfirio in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Natalio Chap saved DEPORTIVO MERLO from getting behind. Jorge Richie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Porfirio in the 46th minute of play forced DEPORTIVO MERLO's goalkeeper Natalio Chap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Sunchales's Emiliano Porfirio in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye DEPORTIVO MERLO's goalie prevented a goal. The DEPORTIVO MERLO players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sunchales were winning 0-4.

51 minutes into the match, DEPORTIVO MERLO's goalkeeper Natalio Chap had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Richie. After 52 minutes, Nicanor Cidro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DEPORTIVO MERLO and the Sunchales players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nicanor Cidro hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Natalio Chap made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Richie in the 54th minute. Natalio Chap made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Jorge Richie sent off a good shot on target. Natalio Chap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Porfirio in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 played minutes DEPORTIVO MERLO got a freekick which was hit by Tiburcio Umbruso. After a defensive mix-up in DEPORTIVO MERLO's zone, Emiliano Porfirio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natalio Chap came out of the goal and Emiliano Porfirio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Natalio Chap made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Jorge Richie sent off a good shot on target. Silverio Fertus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Salvino having to interfere. In the 78th match minute, DEPORTIVO MERLO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaias Pio to maneuver through the defense. Natalio Chap was a little too slow when Emiliano Porfirio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 0-5. Natalio Chap stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emiliano Porfirio's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Jorge Richie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Natalio Chap tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conrado Dodorol took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leopoldo Salvino. Leopoldo Salvino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. When the final whistle sounded Sunchales left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than DEPORTIVO MERLO.
