Romulo Rivas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Gogo Manilan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Donato Diegotxe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee gave Atletico Iruya a penalty, 30 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Andres Emesto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Argentina's Gogo Manilan. 2-0. Gogo Manilan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Cristofol, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Donato Diegotxe hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leo Santxol stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Atletico Iruya's Ciro Theodore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Urko in the 53rd minute of play. Leo Santxol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gogo Manilan having to make a save. In the 61st minute, Romulo Rivas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Argentina's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Urko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciro Theodore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 73 minutes into the match, Argentina's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Cristofol came free, but Gogo Manilan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciro Theodore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Urko in the 76th minute of play. If Leo Santxol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 minutes of play, Atletico Iruya's Andres Emesto made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gogo Manilan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ciro Theodore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Urko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Justo Montes fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Argentina's protests and gave Justo Montes a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of Argentina:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Atletico Iruya:s goal. In the 92nd minute there was a penalty for Atletico Iruya. Andres Emesto stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gogo Manilan. 5-0. There was no doubt that Atletico Iruya were the better team. Atletico Iruya's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
